MYMENSINGH: Journalist and also Bangla daily Bonik Barta managing director Golam Faruk has been buried in their family graveyard at the village Poshmail in Mymensingh on Tuesday evening.
Earlier, his second Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Phulbaria University College ground in Mymensingh in the afternoon.
A condolence meeting was also held prior to the Janaza.
Faruk’s father Advocate Muslem Uddin, physician KR Islam, district Awami League general secretary Abdul Matin Sarkar, Phulbaria Municipality mayor Golam Kibria and Bonik Barta chief reporter Mir Moniruzzaman, among others, spoke at the meeting.
The deceased’s first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Nation Press Club in city at 11:00am on the day.
Faruk, who was second son of Mymensingh-6 constituency Member of the Parliament Advocate Muslem Uddin, died of a cardiac arrest at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Monday night.
Faruk also worked at daily Samakal, Ananda Bhuban and ABC radio. He was 55.
