DHAKA: The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), in a drive, recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from the Naf river in Teknaf of Cox’s bazar early Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, the BGB members conducted a drive in the river. Sensing the presence of the BGB members, the smugglers fled the spot leaving the boat.

Later, the BGB team seized the boat and recovered the huge amount of Yaba tablets searching the boat.

Public relations officer Mohsin Reza of BGB headquarters confirmed the matter to banglanews.
