DHAKA: The timeframe for trademark case disposal have been extended from 120 working days to 360 working days.

The cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has approved the draft of Trademark (amendment) Act 2014 subject to the vetting of the concerned ministry.

After the meeting, cabinet secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossian Bhuiyan told media at secretariat on Monday.

According to the previous law, it was 120 working days for trademark case disposal while the amendment has extended it to 360 working days.

Moreover, the third-quarterly report (July-September 2014) on the implementation of the cabinet’s decisions was placed at the meeting, he added.
