NARAYANGANJ: A devatating fire broke out at a floating restrurent of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) in Pagla of Fatullah in the district on Wednesday midnight. 

The cause of fire could not be known immediately. 

Sources said that the fire originated around 11:30am and soon engulfed the whole restrurent 

Later, some five fire fighting units and a team of Naval force brought the blaze under control after one and half an hour frantic effort. 

Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Director Momtaz Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews. 

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Manager Nazrul Islam said that the fire damaged assets worth about Tk 5-crore.
