DHAKA: Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) detained gang leader of thieves who allegedly steal luggages of passengers from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning.

Airport Armed Police senior ASP Alamgir Hossain confirmed it to banglanews.

He said Joynal was held from Canopy-1 of the airport around 10:00am. He is the ring leader of thieves who steal luggages of foreign passengers in Airport area.

Earlier, he was detained several times and huge foreign made goods were recovered from his possession, the ASP added.

Alamgir said Joynal was accused in several cases for luggage stealing, he also said.
