DHAKA: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in city’s Dakkhinkhan-Jamtola area on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Israt Jahan Nipa, 19.

The victim’s father Yusuf said Nipa got married two and half months ago and she had many allegations against her husband, he added.

However, police sources said they recovered Nipa’s hanging body from the area around 12:00 noon.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Dakkhinkhan Thana Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
