London Police Detains Tarique’s Adviser

LONDON: London Metropolitan Police on Tuesday detained Barrister Abu Sayem, the newly appointed Human Rights Affairs Adviser to BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman, on allegation of helping his client by making fake documents.

Sources said Barrister Abu Sayem was detained from his Ujamaa Law Centre office in East London.

UK BNP considers Abu Sayem as very close to Tarique Rahman.

No one received the call when banglanews London correspondent called on the mobile-phone of Barrister Abu Sayem.

BNP sources also are not disclosing the matter whether Barrister Abu Sayem is still in police custody or freed.
