BHOLA: The indefinite transport strike, called by Bhola district bus and minibus owners association, is underway on all internal routes for indefinite period demanding trial of attackers on bus, ban on plying illegal vehicles for traffic jam reduction.

The strike began on Wednesday evening on all internal routes including Bhola-Char Fashion regional highway causing immense sufferings to general people.
 
Sources said auto wokers attacked and vandalized bus following a dispute between two groups of workers over carrying passengers.

Protesting the incident, the district bus and minibus owners called on indefinite strike.

While talking to banglanews, Bhola Bus Iwners Assciation Organizing Secretary M Shfiul Islam blamed illegal vehicle plying for road accidents. Men of those illegal vehicle owners-workers vandalized some buses on Wednesday for obstructing plying of those. 

The strike will be continued till their demands are not met, he added.
