DHAKA: Several agreements on security, trade, labor market and extradition of convicts and some other memorandum of understandings will be signed during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s upcoming visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali said at a press conference at his ministry in the city around 11:00am on Friday.
PM Hasina will pay a three-day to UAE on October 25-27 bilateral visit to attend 10th Islamic Economic Forum there.
The Foreign Minister said Bangladesh is expecting the UAE to withdraw ban on recruitment of Bangladeshis in that country during PM Sheikh Hasina’s visit.
In reply to a question from journalists whether the crisis on labor market created between the two nations has been resolved, Ali said if the crisis is alive how the bilateral visit is possible.
This is the first bilateral visit after 2006 and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) stopped hiring Bangladeshis in 2012 and the problem will be resolved now, he added.
