KHULNA: A police constable was killed in a road accident in Boyra Police Line area of the city on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Pradip Kumar Chakrabrrty, 48, worked at Boyra police outpost.

Police sources said that a passenger bus knocked him down while he was going to police line by his by-cycle in the area around 5:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police seized the bus in this connection.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu confirmed the matter to banglanews.
