CHITTAGONG: Two people were killed in a road accident in Giri Chowdhury Bazar area at Patiya upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Patiya Thana Sub-Inspector Almas told banglanews that a Cox’s Bazar-bound passenger bus knocked a Chittagong-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving two people dead on the spot and another one injured.

The injured was admitted to Patiya Upazila Health Complex, he added.
