DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel detained a man named Mamun Ahmed, 49, with four gold bars weighing 100-gram from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday. 

Sources said that the man came from Malaysia by Malaysian Airlines Flight MH-196. On suspicion law enforcers searched him and found the gold bars from Canopy-1 area.  

Confirming the matter, Airport Armed Police Senior Assistant Police Super Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that the seized gold is worth about Tk 20 lakh.
