DHAKA: Some 15 new air-conditioned buses have been added to transport pool of Bashundhara Group, country’s leading business conglomerate, with a view to providing transport facility to its employees.
Bashundhara Group Vice-chairman Shafiat Sobhan inaugurated the service at a function in front of Bashundhara Group Industrial Headquarters at Bashundhara Residential Area in the city on Thursday morning.
He, later, handed over the keys of the buses to the drivers.
Shafiat Sobhan said the service was introduced to provide transport facility to the employees of Bashundhara Group.
With this facility, the employees would be able to come to the office and return to home safely and easily, he added.
Expressing hope, he said the facility would increase the working ability of the employees as well as the level of works.
Other BG higher officials were also present at the program.
Shafiat Sobhan cut a cake with the BG officials after the inauguration.
However, the AC buses consist of 30 seats each will ply in different routes of the city. The BG employees expressed their satisfaction with the facility.
