DHAKA: Police detained seven people from in front of National Press Club in the city on Friday.

Details of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said that a precession was brought out in the area at 10:15am demanding release of Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal. Police chased the processionists and picked up seven of them.

Shahbagh Thana second officer M Jafar Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The officer, however, could not disclose details of the detainees.
