NILPHAMARI: Police recovered dead bodies of two women in separate incidents on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Kachumai, 75, wife of a late Badar Uddin of Bahagili Ghaterpar village under Sadar upazila, and Nurunnahar Begum, 50, wife of Nazrul Islam of Hazipara viilage of same upazila.

Sources told banglanews that police recovered the body of Kachumai, who died in a road accident, from Bahagili Bridge on the river Jamunesshwari in the noon.

Earlier, Nurunnahar’s body was recovered in the morning, sources added. She was found hanging at her bedroom.

Locals suspected that Nurunnahar might kill herself at a certain time of Thursday night.

Nilphamari Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahjahan Pasha, confirming the matter, said that the bodies have been sent to the Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
