ASHULIA: A fire broke out in a Jhut (garment waste) godown at Bhadail area in Ashulia, at the outskirt of the city, on Saturday morning.
On information, three fire fighting units of DEPZ rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after trying for two hours.
Senior Station Officer of the Fire Service Abdul Hamid Mia told banglanews that the fire gutted almost the whole godown.
Owner of the godown Abdul Aziz told banglanews that the properties gutted worth about Tk five crore.
