BENAPOLE (JESSORE): The Border Security Forces (BSF) of India early Saturday handed over two Bangladeshis who were detained at Haridaspur border area in India, near the Benapole border of Bangladesh.

The returned youths were identified as Liton Chandra, 28, son of one Bajralal Chandra, hailed from Noakhali district and Nihar, 30, son of one Jayanta, hailed from Khulna.

Benapole Port Thana Police sources told banglanews that the BSF Jawans detained two Bangladeshi citizens while they were trying to enter India illegally on Friday night.

Later, they handed over Liton Chandra and Nihar to BGB personnel at Benapole Check Post. The BGB personnel sent them to Benapole Port Thana.

Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Port Thana Apurba Hasan told banglanews that they will produce Liton Chandra and Nihar before the Jessore Court on Saturday noon.
