DHAKA: Police, in different drives, early Saturday recovered three dead bodies from different locations in city.
The deceased were identified as Salma, 17, a housemaid from Banani area, Saidur Rahman, 31, security guard from Uttara (West) Thana area and Hasan Mahmud, 40, a hotel worker from Darus Salam Thana area.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Sharif Hossain of Banani Thana told banglanews that police recovered the hanging body of Salma from a house located at Mohakhali School Road area around 2:00am.
Mentioning the girl might have committed suicide, he also said police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
On the other hand, security guard Saidur Rahman died at a private hospital here early Saturday.
Quoting local people, SI Ferdous Ahmed of Uttara (West) Thana told banglanews that Saidur got injured critically as a bamboo fell on his head from the roof of a building in the area.
Later, police sent the body to DMCH morgue for an autopsy, he added.
In another incident, Darus Salam Thana Police recovered a body of hotel worker Hasan Mahmud, who allegedly committed suicide, around 1:00am.
Darus Salam Thana Sub-Inspector Jahanur Ali said that they had found the hanging body at a room of Shahanshah Hotel located at Majar Road of that area.
Police have filed an UD case in this regard, he added.
