DHAKA: The country experiences power failure as the national grid collapsed on Saturday morning.

People from various areas across the country including Bogra, Sirajganj and Gazipur informed the matter to banglanews office.

The city is also experiencing the power failure.

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Limited Director MA Baki told banglanews that the national grid has collapsed. 

It is uncertain to say when the power supply could be brought to normalcy, he added.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid told banglanews that they have been working on the situation. 

He, however, hoped it will come to normalcy within an hour.
