DHAKA: Senior Medical Officer (Medicine) of Outdoor Department of Bangladesh Institute of Research & Rehabilitation in Diabetes (BIRDEM) Hospital was shot by miscreants at his residence in city’s Moghbazar area on Sunday night.

The victim is identified as Abu Naser Muhid, 37.

Muhid said an identified miscreant entered my home around 7:30pm and put allegations against him. “At one stage, his cohorts came inside and shot at my right leg and fled the scene immediately, he added.

However, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
