Art Talk at Bangladesh HC in New Delhi

DHAKA: Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi hosted an event titled "Art Talk" at the Maitry Hall of the Chancery in the evening of November 2.

The evening's festivities included a display of the very recent works of Rafiqun Nabi, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Jamal Ahmed, Kanak Chapa, Moniruzzaman, Nisar Hossain, Ranjit Das, Rukeya Sultana, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Sheikh Afzal Hossain, and Sulekha Chowdhury from Bangladesh and Anandamay Banerjee, Sudip Ray, Sushanta Guha and Hemavati Guha from India.

The presence of art luminaries from sides of the border - coupled with apt background music, lighting and floral decoration, sumptuous food and drinks - the event turned into a gorgeous display of the best of Bangladesh art-scene.

Rafiqun Nabi from Bangladesh and Anandamay Banerjee from India delivered a supremely engaging discourse on the  evolution of art and the current trends in art forms and art appreciation.

The event was attended by Heads of Mission, diplomats, political and corporate leaders, bureaucrats, representatives from international organisations and art lovers of India and Bangladesh.
