CHITTAGONG: Train knocked an unidentified elderly woman to death at Ambagan of Khulsi Thana of the port city on Tuesday.

Nayek Jahangir of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital police outpost told banglanews that the woman was seriously injured after a train hit her in Jharnarpar area of Ambagan while crossing the rail tracks.

Pedestrian whisked off her to the hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead.

The deceased was aged about 65, Jahangir added.

Chittagong Railway Thana (Government Railway Police) Officer-In-Charge Yasin Faruk confirmed the matter to banglanews.
