DHAKA: Customs Intelligence detained a Bangladeshi with 96,000 Saudi Riyal worth Tk 20,00,000 from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Tuesday.

The detainee is identified as Abu Hannan Lablu. He was passenger of a Malaysia-bound flight MH-197.

Custom intelligence sources said that they detained him following his suspicious movement at the boarding bridge area of the airport and challenged him.

After a search the surveillance team of customs found the Saudi Riyals from his luggage. A case was filed in this regard.

Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Preventive) Ruhul Amin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
