DHAKA: A mother along with her minor son was found dead in Moddhya Paikpara area of Mirpur in the city on Wednesday evening. 

The deceased were identified as Irin Akhter Arju, 30, and her son Amir Hossain, 07.

Police, meanwhile, nabbed killer suspect -- Aman Ullah, husband of Irin. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner (Mirpur Zone) Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Aman tortured and beat his wife and son centering family feud,  said Sakhawat adding, the man himself took the wife to Delta Medical College and Hospital of Mirpur aim where doctor declared her dead.

Whereas the son was taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College of the city and doctors also pronounced him dead there.

Mirpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Moazzem Hossain told Police suspected that the victims were taken to the hospitals after Aman strangled them to death sometimes in the afternoon.

On information, police detained him from Delta Hospital later, Moazzem added.

The SI, quoting the locals, said that Aman works at state-run Sonali Bank Limited, he might have killed them as he had had a quarrel with his wife over family matters for long.
