DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid will visit China on Thursday to attend an international meet upon the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
Hamid will to take part the event titled ‘Dialogue on Strengthening Connectivity Partnership’, to be held in Beijing.
The president’s Press Secretary Ehsanul Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews
Hamid will leave Dhaka for Beijing on a regular Singapore Airlines flight at 11:55pm Thursday, said Ehsanul.
The government’s heads of Myanmar, Mongolia, Cambodia, Tajikistan and several other countries are expected to join in the meet to discuss on the regional communication and co-operation issues.
During the visit, the president will also hold bilateral meetings with the presidents of Chine and Myanmar.
Hamid will stop by Singapore on his way back from China on November 11 for a routine health check-up and return home then.
