DHAKA: The customs intelligence officials detained two Malaysia-bound passengers with foreign currencies worth about Tk 39 lakhs early Saturday at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. 

The detainees are Badiuzzaman Laskar and Ziaul Haq.

Assistant Commissioner of customs intelligence Jewela Khanam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

She said they had recovered Euro and Qatar Riyal worth Tk 2,617,000 from Badiuzzaman Laskar and Saudi Riyal worth Tk 1,200,000 from Ziaul Haq.
