LALMONIRHAT: All modes of transports went off the roads in Lalmonirhat Saturday morning.

Sources told banglanews that the strike has been called demanding to meet 2-point demand of of district truck and lorry workers’ union.

The union is demanding immediate arrest of the attackers of the recent assail at their office and to stop assault on general workers, sources added.

However, confirming the matter to banglanews, the union’s president Pulin Chandra said that the strike will be continued until the demands are met.

On the other hand, Lalmonirhat Bus Workers’ association’s general secretary Bulbul Ahmmad said that they will also have to discontinue bus services as the truck and lorry workers will be on the road.
