RAJBARI: Locals blocked Dhaka-Khulna highway at Goalando following death of a person in a road crash in the area Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Idris Ali, 30, son of Sadek Ali, resident of Goalando.

Sources told banglanews that Idris was killed there after a rashly driven truck knocked him down early in the morning.

However, agitated locals, following the accident, put blockade on the highway, sources added.

Goalando Ghat Thana officer-in-charge (OC – Investigation) Mizanur Rahman, confirming the matter said that police have already rushed to spot.

“We are trying to convince the locals,” he added.
