DHAKA: A truck driver was shot to death by miscreants at Rampura-Banasree residential area in city early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Faruk Khan, 28, son of one Shahjahan Khan, hailed from Bagerhat.

Police sources said locals heard the sound of gun firing in the area around 3:00am and informed police.

On information police rushed to spot and found Faruk dead.

Police recovered a driving license, identity card and Tk 13280 from the spot.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Operation Officer of Rampura Thana Mostafijur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
