DHAKA: Chief of sea robber gang—Daroga Bahini—and his cohort killed in gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-8) in Chandpai Range of Sundarbans on Tuesday (November 11) morning.

The deceased was identified as chief Enamul Hawledar alias Daroga and cohort Saiful.

Rab personnel also recovered a foreign shooter-gun, three SBBL, a rifle, three LG guns, five pipe guns and huge amount of bullets from the spot.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, deputy director of Rab Media Wing Major Rumon Mahmud said, on information of robbers’ preparing to loot, Rab personnel conducted a drive in the area.

Sensing presence of Rab, the robbers opened fire and Rab also fired for defense, leaving two robbers killed, he added.
