SYLHET: The airport immigration police detained a Pakistani national along with Indian currency worth Tk 1.15 crore from MAG Osmani International Airport of the district on Wednesday.

Inspector Bashir Ahmed of Sylhet airport immigration police confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainee was identified as Imran Ahmed, 25, son of Golam Rasul of Munshiganj.

Police said they recovered the currency after scanning his luggage and detained Imran, who came in a flight from Dubai around 6:30am.

A case will be filed in this connection.
