DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two illegal arms traders with a foreign-made pistol in city’s Darussalam area on Wednesday.

The detainees are Mohammad Nahid, 26, Mohammad Jewel, 24. Both are hailed from Capainawabganj district.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and also RAB-4 operation officer Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Tipped-off, RAB held them from street in front of Shah Ali Mazar under Darussalam Thana and seized a Japan-made pistol, two magazines and six rounds of bullets.

Legal action would be taken against the detainees, the ASP added.
