4 govt offices get new directors

DHAKA: The government appointed new directors to the department of environment, tourism board, bridge authority and Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Wednesday.

The former legal advisor of the food department Khurshid Alam has been made the director of the Department of Environment while the BRTC former director Nikhil Ranjan Roy has been made the director of the Tourism Board.

However, among other departments, the BRTC got its former assistant director as the new director and the Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited executive director Alim Uddin has been made the new director of the Bridge Authority.

The changes were made through an order of the ministry of public administration on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the order, the former director of Bridge Authority M Alauddin has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) under the ministry of public administration.
