DHAKA: The government has sent Abul Kasem Talukder, the former joint secretary of the ministry of liberation war, to force retirement for taking false freedom-fighter certificate.

Sources told banglanews that the ministry of public administration had issued the release order on Sunday but it has been revealed on Wednesday afternoon.

Public administration’s joint secretary Muhibul Haque has signed the order of Abul Kashem Talukder, who was an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) earlier after the issue of taking false freedom-fighter certificate arose, sources added.

The forced-retired former secretary, however, will get retirement benefits as usual, as he had completed 25 years of services.
