6 BGB men withdrawn for human trafficking

COX’S BAZAR:Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has withdrawn its six members from Habirchara Check Post under Teknaf Wednesday for selling few people to human traffickers.

Confirming the matter, BGB Cox’s Bazar headquarters’ sector commander colonel Khandaker Farid Hasan, said that the border guard authorities have taken the decision following court’s order.

Earlier, a Cox’s Bazar court asked Border Guard Bangladesh authorities to take action against the six BGB men as they handed over four persons to a local trafficker named Taiyeb Ali in exchange of Tk 1.25 lakh after detaining from a check post of Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf way.
