COX’S BAZAR: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained a Myanmar national along with seven gold bars in the frontier area of Teknaf upazila in the district on Thursday.

The detainee was identified as M Nurul Bashar, 30, son of late Petan Ali of Mandu Nakpura of Myanmar.

BGB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel M Abuzar Al Zahid told banglanews that Nurul would be handed over to the police.
