DHAKA: Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu asked the authorities concerned to send legal notices to the tannery owners of Hazaribagh to shift their factories within the stipulated time.

The minister made the assertion in a meeting on ‘to emphasize the project activities for the development of industrial sector taken by the government for 2014-1015 fiscal year’ in the seminar room of city’s industries ministry on Thursday.

Amu also said, “Those who started to establish the factories in the industrial area will get compensation from next week.”

Mentioning the court’s order and an agreement between Bangladesh Small & Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) and tannery industry entrepreneurs, he gave directive to send the legal notices.

Secretary for Industries Ministry M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, high officials of the ministry, officers of different organization and corporation under the ministry were present in the meeting.
