JATIYA SANGSAD (DHAKA): Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday said the government is considering for setting up a separate commission on teachers’ recruitment at the non-government educational institutes.

The education minister made disclosure while addressing the House in response to a question from ruling party lawmaker Golam Dastagir Gazi on the matter.

Nahid said a seven-member has already been formed at the Prime Minister’s Office to work on set up of the commission.

Education Ministry would take the next steps according to the recommendations from the committees, he told the House.

In response to another question, Nahid said process is underway to set up either a public or a private university at each district of the country.

The government is also considering the formulation of a unique policy on the admission at public and private universities, Nahid told the House.
