‘Indo-Bangla tie in new high’

DHAKA: The relationship between Bangladesh and India as neighbours has reached to a new high. Over all relationship between the two neighbours is good though sometimes there are ups and downs basing on socio-economic conditions.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Friday made the observations while addressing the ‘1st India-Bangladesh High Commissioners’ Summit’.

Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka, organized two-day long summit in collaboration with India-Bangladesh Foundation at Senate Hall of the university.

He also said several times current BJP government has proved that they have a positive outlook on Bangladesh.

DU Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique said people of Bangladesh are ever grateful to the people of India especially West Bengal, Assam and Tripura for their help during the liberation war.

Department of International Relations Chairman Professor Asequa Irshad and Professor Imtiaz Ahmed among others addressed the function.
