DHAKA: The Government of India has conveyed its concurrence to the upgradation of the Bangladesh Visa Office in Agartala to an Assistant High Commission.
The move came in response to a request made by Bangladesh, says a press release issued by High Commission of India to Dhaka on Friday.
It said India’s decision to upgrade the Visa Office in Agartala “is in keeping with the existing friendly relations between the two countries”.
It was laos expected that the move “will further strengthen Bangladesh’s diplomatic representation in India”.
