DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) affairs adviser, also her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy said that there are many falsehoods going on against the liberation war and freedom of the country.

These falsehoods should be prevented, he added.

Joy came up with the assertion in a seminar on Democracy, Development and Justice hosted by Shuchinta Foundation in the city on Friday afternoon.

He also said that the history was being distorted from August 15, 1975. Moreover the school-level books were introduced with false history of the country, he added.

Sajeeb Wajed also said that a group of people have been trying to decompose the real history of liberation war as well as the country and establish fake history in those issues.

Joy said that the people behind this falsehood should be identified.

Once the real history of the country could not reveal due to the pressure of the wrongdoers but now we can talk on the real history of Bangladesh, he added.

Joy also mentioned that Adolf Hitler's propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels method as he believed that if a false will be spread continuously for a long time then it will be proved as truth.

A group of people also want to apply the method in the country to establish the falsehood, he added.

Joy also said that BNP is a party of collaborator (Razakar). If they are not then they would break the alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami, he added.

We should not be ashamed to protest the falsehood, Joy said.

Economist Dr Kazi Khalikuzzamn, Prosecutor Barrister Turin Afroz among others also spoke in the program.
