DHAKA: Prosecution submitted formal charges at International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-2) against war crimes accused Mahidur Rahman and Afsar Hossain alias Chutu.

Prosecutor Shahidur Rahman submitted the charge Sunday seeking the accused to be shown arrested in the war crimes cases.

Mahidur and Afsar, both are hailed from Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, are now behind the bar in other cases in the district.

The three-member judge panel led by ICT-2 chairman Justice Obaidul Hasan set November 24 to take the charge into cognizance.

The tribunal, on the same day, will also begin hearing on whether the accused would be shown arrested in the cases.

The agency brought a total of three charges against each of them in a war crimes case.
