DHAKA: A well-prepared detective team of Bangladesh police will assist India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) members, who will arrive here on Monday as part of Burdwan blast probe.
State minister for home affairs Asaduzzaman Khan made the disclosure at Sunday noon while answering to the reporters at the secretariat in city.
The 3-member NIA team is probing the Burdwan blast in India’s West Bengal province.
On October 2, an explosion occurred in a house in Khagragarh locality of Burdwan.
According to the media reports, two suspected Indian militants were killed and one injured.
Moreover, at least 55 improvised explosive devices along with some other militant equipment were found at the spot.
However, the NIA team’s visit, which may stay from three to four days, is taking place after NIA made a major headway in the case by arresting JMB Burdwan module chief commander Sajid, stated to be a Bangladeshi national.
