DHAKA: The government has made a major reshuffle in Public Administration bringing the changes in the posts of two additional secretaries and 17 joint-secretaries and appointing two director generals (DG).

Public administration ministry issued order to this effect on Monday.

According to the order, public administration ministry additional secretary Salahuddin Mahmud has been appointed as the Bogra’s Rural Development Academy (RDA) director general.

Commerce ministry additional secretary SM Shawkat Ali has been transferred to the post of executive member of the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA).

The Rangpur divisional director Begum Minu Shil has been made the additional commissioner of the same division.

Narcotics’ control department director Aktaruzzaman M Mustafa Kamal has been transferred to the home affairs ministry, public administration ministry’s officer on special duty (OSD) Abdul Jalil to the ministry of ICT and tourism board director Pradip Ranjan Chakraborty to the home affairs ministry.

Rangpur division additional commissioner Narayan Chandra Barma has been transferred to the expatriates' welfare and overseas employment ministry and NTRCA member Samena Begum to the textiles and jute ministry.

Among others, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) director Prashanta Kumar Dash and home affairs ministry GM Mansur have sent to public administration ministry.

The export development bureau director Akhtar Ali Sarkar has been made the narcotics’ control department director and OSD joint secretary DM Golam Faruk as the Export Promotion Bureau Bangladesh (EPBB) director.

On the other hand, OSD joint secretary Humayun Kabir has been made the NTRCA member, Abu Sahel Salah Uddin Mahmud of Jiban Bima Corporation as the primary education development project director and OSD joint secretary Asaduzzaman as the Textile Mill Corporation director.

The Haor and Wetland Development Board director general Saidur Rahman has been made a member of National Housing Authorities and water resources ministry joint secretary Afroza Moyazzem as the Haor and Wetland Development Board director general.

Besides, textiles and jute ministry joint secretary Imdadul Haque has been made the project director (PD) of Fashion Design and Training Institute and OSD joint secretary Soltan Ahmed as the NTRCA member.
