TANGAIL: Miscreants chopped dead a lawyer early Wednesday at Futani Bazar area of the Sadar town.

The deceased was identified as SHahidul Islam Jewel, 35, executive member of Tangail Ainjibi Samity and hailed from Binnafair village of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Tangail Model Thana Golam Mostafa told banglanews on information police recovered the body of the lawyer.

He further said police sent the body to Tangail Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police suspected that he might be killed over previous conflict.
