Biman DGM among 5 remanded

DHAKA: A Dhaka Court sent five including deputy general manager (DGM) of national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines on four-day remand over gold smuggling allegation.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court judge Mohammad Erfan Ullah passed the order on Wednesday in response to 10-day remand plea of Detective Branch (DB) of police.

Earlier, DB detained DGM Imdad Hossain among five high officials of Biman on Tuesday night.

The others detainees are- captain Shahid, manager Tozammel haq, money exchange trader Harun and contractor Polash. 

DMP media center additional deputy police commissioner Saidur Rahman confirmed the matter.
