2 killed in city road crashes

DHAKA: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Kamalapur and Banani areas of the city on Wednesday.

A worker Razaul Karim, 35, was crushed after falling between a lorry and a covered van while he was working at Kamalapur Inland Container Depot around 2:30pm.

Rezaul’s fellow worker, Ibrahim, told banglanews that he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 3:00pm.

However, in Banani, an unidentified man aged around 50 was killed in a road accident at noon.

A CNG-driver, Nurul Islam, said locals picked the injured man in his vehicle around 1:00pm.

Later, he was brought to the DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 3:00pm.
