DHAKA: A tribunal on Wednesday awarded seven years imprisonment to a man and fined Tk 100,000 in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.

Dhaka Cyber Crime Tribunal judge KM Shamshul Alam delivered the order.

The tribunal also acquitted two other accused as they were found innocent in the case.

The convict Sohag Molla spread abusive edited images of a woman through cell phones in the case.

Special public prosecutor Nazrul Islam of the tribunal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
