KISHOREGANJ: A college student was killed as a tractor ran over him on Kishoreganj-Karimganj road in Beparipara intersection under Karimganj upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Borhan Uddin, 18, a student of class XI of Karimganj Model College, son of Abdus Sattar of Ulukhola village of the upazila.

Karimganj Thana Sub-Inspector M Nazmul Hasan told banglanews that the tractor rammed Borhan in the area while he was returning home from the college, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Upazlia Health Complex and, later, he succumbed to his injuries on way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).

Locals seized the tractor and nabbed its diver.
