DHAKA: Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and Sajeeb Wazed Joy have been made honorary advisors to Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina.

An order from Prime Minister Office (PMO) sent to Press Information Department (PID) said on Thursday evening.

Journalist Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury has been made information advisor and Joy, son of PM Hasina, has been made adviser for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) advisor.

The notification signed by PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) director Dr Dewan Mohammad Humayun Kabir said the premier took the decision following the ‘Rule of Business’, 1996, Rule 3 (B).

They will perform their duties as part-time and honorary advisors to the prime minister, the notification added.

It also said that as an information advisor, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury will get the government facilities and will attend the seat with the officials of minister status.
